Loughton is a town and civil parish in the Epping Forest District of Essex. Part of the Greater London Urban Area, the town borders Chingford, Waltham Abbey, Theydon Bois, Chigwell and Buckhurst Hill, and 12 miles northeast of Charing Cross.
